To describe a collection of chronic "palsies" - illnesses that impair control of development due of damage to the brain's developing cerebrum – the term "cerebral paralysis" (CP) is used widely. CP is a non-progressive brain condition, which means that the damage to the brain doesn't become worse during one's life. The side effects of brain damage, however, might fluctuate over time, with some showing indications of recovery and others worsening. CP is one of the most well-known causes of long-term impairment in children.

At least 35% of children with Cerebral Palsy experience seizures, and 50% of those children will have mental impairments. In addition, they may be unable to learn and have problems with their vision, speech, hearing, or accent.

Much of the disorder's aetiology remains a mystery, however evidence supports the hypothesis that contamination, birth wounds, and a lack of oxygen to the brain just before, during, and immediately after delivery are common factors. Those who are born too soon are particularly vulnerable. CP may be caused by a serious illness, such as meningitis, in the first years of life, as well as physical harm and excessive dehydration.

Is there a specific kind of paralysis of the brain?

Based upon the form of motor disability, cerebral paralysis might be partitioned into sorts:

There are three types of cerebral palsy treatment in Delhi

1. Spastic cerebral paralysis, 2. Dyskinetic cerebral paralysis (which includes ataxic paralysis), and 3. Hypotonic cerebral paralysis.

In reality, the majority of patients are likely to have a mixture of these designations.
