Stem cells are cells that have the capacity to proliferate and develop into various types of cells. Throughout your early life and development cycles, stem cells often do this. They also function as repair sites inside tissues, dividing to replenish and rejuvenate other cells. When a stem cell splits, each non-primary cell has the option of staying the same or transforming into a different specialised cell, such as a brain cell, blood cell, or muscle cell. Stem cell muscular dystrophy treatment is highly effective and works the best.

They may be found all throughout the body, but they're especially abundant in your bone marrow and fat tissue. A tiny quantity of bone marrow may be extracted from the patient and separated using a centrifuge in a painless process. Liposuction, on the other hand, may be performed to get stem cells from your fat (adipose) tissue.

There are two methods to get stem cells:

Autologous (self-derived) stem cells come from the patient.

Allogeneic (donor-derived) stem cells come from someone else.

Stem cells may be implanted into an injured location to provide to a patient. Alternatively, they may be given intravenously to the patient (i.e., by IV infusion).

In any case, the aim of stem cell therapy is to boost a patient's natural capacity to recover by decreasing inflammation, encouraging healing, and avoiding scarring.

Stem cells may be utilised to treat bone, tendon, cartilage, and ligament issues in addition to alleviating painful diseases like arthritis. They may also be used to treat some chronic illnesses.

What Happens During the Procedure?

As previously stated, the process starts with the collection of adult stem cells from your or a donor's body. You may choose to have fat-derived stem cells taken from your lower stomach or bone marrow cells taken from your hip bone's iliac crest. These cells may even be given jointly in certain instances.
